rowdy yates character development

rawhiiiiide:

season 1 rowdy: spikey trauma boy, very polite, wants approval, wants a girlfriend, ready to fight literally anyone at any moment. unless you’re a girl.

season 2 rowdy: less spikey more fluffy, just wants to make jokes and be told he’s good/be hugged, is always overwhelmed and confused but is trying his best.

season 3 rowdy: still fluffy but also kinda blow-dryed, has figured out he’s hot and is into it, still wants to make jokes, still wants hugs, still overwhelmed and confused, usually is trying his best but sometimes kinda… you know… fuck it

season 4 rowdy: less vest and hair more hat, starting to get tired of everyone’s shit

season 5 rowdy: same but even more tired. sometimes ridiculous. still wants approval.

season 6 rowdy: eternally put-upon and confused, getting cynical, ready for a new job but unwilling to do anything about it, chronic frustration with his boss starting to turn towards angst

season 7 rowdy: why is this all still happening, why are literally the exact same episode plots being recycled

season 8 rowdy: his own boss at last. just wants to do his job and be a decent-ish person. competent, laconic. will fight you without changing his expression or posture. where did the boyish smiles go? rawhide is a tragedy.

the end.

terrific
