Good film.Clear chemistry between Lancaster’s stiff Wyatt Earp and Douglas’s world-weary Doc Holliday. Rhonda Fleming, who plays Earp’s ?love interest Laura, complained that Earp takes Laura riding, tells her that a man’s gotta revenge his brothers, goes off with Doc and “leaves her alone with the horse”. Very good shootout at the end (Sturges was terrific at shootouts).

Hey, my family is getting our house foreclosed soon and are trying to raise money to get a new place to live.

Both me and my mom are disabled, she’s chronically sick, and my little sister is just 14.  All of us, along with our family dog, are traumatized from living with my abusive father most of our lives, and being threatened by him after he was kicked out.  Kicking him out was incredibly brave and noble of my mother, but has left us without enough income to pay our mortgage, as we only have her and my meger disability benefits, which for me has only started very recently.  There are more details to our situation in the link.

It would be a huge help if folks donated, and those who can’t spread this around.

I grew up in Northern Ireland. I know all about what happens when people don’t talk to each other. That’s why I’ve never understood – what’s the point of supporting gay rights, but nobody else’s rights you know? Or workers rights, but not women’s rights. It’s, I don’t know, illogical.
