referring to adult male actors as their babies or whatever
pigtails
saying ‘hubby’
if they say organic on facebook a lot
always introducing themselves as a ‘mommy’
that last point becomes tenfold if they have no children
i could swear that when i was under 23 i didn’t have this weird distrust and loathing for adults, and that culturally it wasn’t a thing like it is now. wtf happened?
idk what to tell you kids, bc you’re gonna find yourself “old” one day and you’re gonna find yourself holding “cringey” habits and hobbies
and you might have to decide that your uncoolness is a reason to distrust yourself, i guess. so you’re gonna have to abandon your hobbies and not have fun and kind of hate yourself while you make way for the new generation
As a baby boomer with no “hubby” (not a big fan of the word either) and one (adult) child, let me add two short points: (1) I love the chance to interact on an equal basis with people 40+ years younger than myself (2) “equal” in my book means I will accept you saying “awesome”, “kewl” , “facepalm” and “fuck”, and expect you to accept me saying “organic” and “good grief”. I would also appreciate you not assuming that every woman born before 1999 loves pigtails and Harry Potter and defines herself in terms of parenthood.
Consider this: that might have been the first time in Silver’s life that he told the truth about something and the result was…good? This is a new feeling for him, he’s basking in it.
Comicon 2018, Stuttgart. I was there, fangirling with @clinteastwood-blog. Toby Stevens looked his age, but when he laughed he lit up from inside, glorious to see. Both the questions and his answers were good; he compared Flint’s “enigmatic quality” to Clint Eastwood in his ‘spaghetti Westerns", and said that his Twitter feed “exploded” after the reveal of the relationship between J McGraw and Thomas Hamilton.
//And in-between breaths of pain, drops of blood and tears of desire, they asked themselves, endlessly, how much time they had left until their own demise.//
My very own partner, however briefly. So talented.
