Have been having assorted woes with computer/ tablet/ Internet/wifi for the past week. Taking advantage of a moment when the gremlins’ backs are turned to say a quick hello.
The stars of Good Omens discuss the 6000 year-old relationship between their characters, Aziraphale and Crowley.
Michael Sheen: “I decided early on that Aziraphale just loves Crowley. And that’s difficult for him because they’re on opposite sides and he doesn’t agree with him on stuff. But it does really help as an actor to go, my objective in this scene is to not show you how much I love you. And just gaze longingly at you…
there’s an interesting love story going on. It’s never explicit, but it’s there.”
David Tennant: “But then Crowley absolutely loves Aziraphale. He hates that he loves him. It’s really annoying for him.”
It’s been brought to our attention that some of you are feeling The Overwhelm™ about the signup format since perhaps you haven’t done an AO3-based gift exchange before. Well, have no fear, the tutorial is here!
First of all, we’d like to start by telling you to NOT PANIC. And don’t overthink this. It’s a Silverflint gift exchange so everyone is getting Silverflint in SOME FORM, all the additional information is just to give your gifters some options and ideas of what to create for you.
Let’s start with REQUESTS. This is where you tell your Pirate Santa what you might like to receive:
(Sorry if the text is too small, but I think you get the idea.)
Everyone has to request Silverflint as their first request. See the red arrow? This is where you can ask for other Silverflint+ relationships. Like so:
Remember, optional tags are optional. They’re merely suggestions to guide your gifter. We do however expect everyone to honor their giftee’s DO NOT WANTS. If you have DNW’s put them in the “What else should Pirate Santa know?” section.
So now you’re done with your requests, it’s time to do OFFERS. It’s pretty simple since you can just pile all the relationship options into a single offer (or you can also break them up). Again, don’t overthink this – everyone will be automatched by AO3.
Don’t forget to click submit! You will be able to edit your signups until October 20th. However, we are unable to alter the signup form at this point, so we’ll have to ride out any glitches together, like a big ole storm.
Yo Ho Ho! Pirate Santa is coming to town and he wants you all to participate in our first annual Silverflint Holiday Cheer Gift Exchange!
Whether you celebrate Chrisnukkah or Festivus, Kwanzaa or Winter Solstice, whether you love or hate December as a concept, we can all agree: there should be more Silverflint-related Gift Giving.
Signups open October 6th and will close on October 20th.
Gifts will be due on December 20th and will post on December 25th.
Writers and artists (all types) are coveted!
We will all have an avalanche of new Silverflint content to enjoy!
